Future Happiness

" What win I, if I gain the thing I seek?
A dream, a breath, a forth of fleeting joy.
Who buys a minute's mirth to wail a week?
Or sells eternity to get a toy?
For one sweet grape who will the vine destroy?"

Shakespeare

These line are about sacrificing your future for a brief moment of joy. Who would want to give up the rest of his or her life for a toy? Or who would want to buy a minute of happiness (mirth) for a week's worth a pain? Or who would destroy an entire vine for just one grape? Only a stupid person would.
